The Montana State Capitol is getting a facelift of sorts. The complex is undergoing a major contraction project to meet certain codes.
Right now, most of the south oval loop is in pieces, limiting some access. However, the Capitol's General Services Division says it'll all be worth it in the end. The project will increase safety and accessibility.
They are also taking care of some re-infrastructure issues.
The 2017 legislature allocated funds for the deferred maintenance project. A three-phased project will continue throughout the summer.
