Montana State Parks are launching a new adventure challenge this summer. The photo-based contest encourages folks to get out and enjoy Montana’s natural beauty.
Participants have to go through eight different challenges. The tasks range from setting up camp for the night, to swimming, biking, and learning about native culture. .
There are 55 diverse parks in the Treasure State, so the contest is open to everyone across the state.
“The challenge is important to kind of light a fire under people. To realize that there are some really cool places out there and this kind of gives them a reason to get out and explore more,” said Pat Doyle, Marketing and Communications Manager for Montana State Parks.
The challenge is photo based, so you are on your own honor system. You just need to snap a photo of yourself enjoying the park and upload it to the state park's website.
You can win prizes like waders as well as hotel stays. The contest runs through September 2.
