GREAT FALLS- With the summer in full swing, Get Fit Great Falls started up their Park Pals Program for the third year in a row.
Get Fit Great Falls President Kim Skornogoski explained that it’s great to take advantage of our wonderful parks.
“Our goal with the summer Park Pals program was to get kids out of their homes, away from a screen and develop a love for the outdoors and active play,” said Get Fit Great Falls President Kim
Each day there will be a different activity to do. Some of the activities include making volcanoes, capture the flag, rainbow tag, kickball, play dough, and crafts. Great Falls Public School will be giving free lunches out of their food truck every day. Last year the district gave out more than 14,000 lunches.
In the programs first year, 1,060 kids came out to play with the park pals. There were 1,636 children the second year.
The program is from June 11th until August 15th every Monday through Friday.
