GFPS food truck is back for summer

Posted: Updated:
GREAT FALLS -

Every year during the summer months, some kids in Great Falls go without a lunch, but starting Monday, the Great Falls Public School food truck will be out again to help fight this issue.

There are multiple locations the food truck will be at all the way up to August 11th. Here is the schedule:

  • Rhodes Park 10:15-11:15 am. Free food will start at 11:05 am.
  • Carter Park 11:30 am- 12:30 pm.
  • Lion's Park 1-2 pm. Free lunch begins at 12:50 pm.
  • Gibson Park 10:30-11:10 am
  • Lewis & Clark elementary and Longfellow Elementary 8-10:30 am. Free breakfast will be served and 10:45 am-1 pm is when free lunch will be served.

Activities are planned every weekday at Rhodes, Carter, and Lion's Parks in coordination with the Get Fit Great Falls program "Park Pals" so kids can get a free meal before or after they come out to play.

Last year, the Great Falls food truck gave out more than 14,000 meals.
