Missoula police arrest two people in stabbing

Two people were arrested for a stabbing Monday night in Missoula.

Missoula officers spent hours looking for the two suspects, even putting an entire Missoula neighborhood on lockdown while they searched for the suspects considered to be armed and dangerous.

Thirty-one year-old Christopher Newrider and thirty-two -year-old Valerie Thompson were booked in jail early in the morning.

Police say the two were arrested after a man was stabbed multiple times near the 1800 block of Sherwood Street.

The victim, who police have not named, is expected to survive his injuries.

Newrider and Thompson are expected to appear in court Wednesday, July 11.
