HELENA, Mont.,- Florence Crittenton announced the 8th annual Support Our Girls event on Thursday August 16th at The Atrium at the Lewis & Clark Fairgrounds.

Florence Crittenton provides support and service to families with young children.  Services include residential programs and treatment, outpatient services and programs for children 0-5.

This event, sponsored by Crafted Aesthetics and Wellness, is where philanthropy and fashion meet, with food, fun, raffles, and a hilarious auction of fabulously decorated bras by our local bratists. Back this year is a designer handbag silent auction, the wine pull and raffle!

While being a great night out on the town, Support Our Girls is an opportunity to raise funds and awareness about the importance of a solid start for children and the many ways parents need our support to become to raise healthy, productive members of our society.

Local personality Shane Larson will be back to host the amusing auction of the brartwork!  This year's event will include 8 bras designed by local bratists including the talented staff at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana, Great West Engineering, Anderson-Zuehrmuelan, and many other talented individuals.  Each handcrafted beauty is accompanied by amazing packages full of products, gift certificates, and experiences.

This year's event features a fantastic new and gently used designer handbag silent auction including stunning pieces from all your favorites such as Louis Vuitton, Kate Spade, COACH, and many other luxury brand handbags.

Carrie Krepps, Development Director says, “the theme of this year’s event is ‘your vibe attracts your tribe.’ With this event we really like to highlight the village it takes each of us to raise happy, healthy children.  So many of the young families we have the privilege to work with have very little support, community that can wrap their arms around them in times of need.  Recovery is a journey no one can take alone.  The funds raised at this event help build that community for these families, giving them the best opportunity for long-term recovery and the best possible start for these children.”

The event is from 5:30 – 9:30pm and will be held at the Atrium at the Lewis & Clark County Fairgrounds Exhibition Hall.  Tickets are $50 each or $450 for a table of 10 and available online at www.florencecrittenton.org or by phone at 442-6950 x204.  Tickets include hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.

HELENA, Mont.- Vandalism is running rampant throughout the Helena Walking Mall. So far, 25 different spots have been hit, including a piece of history. The yellow, 1800s era trolly car is one of the most notable victims. The graffiti first made its appearance on Friday. The vandal has continued to add to the mess since then. The same black spray painted message, which appears to say "*ASPECT*", is on everything from the trolly to brick walls to murals. "The big thing ...
