Jake is a 2 year-old border collie/catahoula cross. I rescued him when he was a little puppy from a ranch hand that was going to kill him because he was "untrainable." He currently works with me during the summer's at a guest ranch. He goes on all the pack trips with us, and even carries his own food in his pack on our 10 day, 100 mile trips.Jake believes that he is one of the mules also. He winters at our ranch in Augusta and spends the days chasing balls and playing sticks. He is a great dog with a wonderful personality and is very smart as well.

We are Jake's grandparents and as he stays with us parttime we know how amusing and smart he really is!!!! He is also known as Freddy the Freeloader when he comes to stay!!!!
