Monty, the German Wirehaired Pointer, and Nala, the pitbull, are our best friends and they love to play together. Monty was my wedding present for my husband. I have never had a dog and once I saw him, I HAD to have him. I didn't know what I was getting us into since I didn't research the breed first (not a smart move on my part at all!). As a pup he was always getting himself in trouble and was so full of energy we didn't know what to do! Couple of months later, my stepdaughter came to our house holding Nala, a sweet little puppy, in her arms asking us to keep the dog for her for just a month, until she found a different place to live. Well five years later we still have the dog. Nala is the sweetest pitbull I have met. She defies all the negative stereotypes people have about pitbulls. She is our puppysitter, and loves kids but her favorite thing in the world is to sit on our laps.
