C M Russell high school publishes a newspaper entitled The Stampede approximately every month. The paper is run by students of the high school and advised by Journalism teacher, Beth Britton.
Students design layout, advertise with local businesses, manage staff members, and edit articles while trying to meet deadlines.
Some students on staff aspire to be photographers or journalists, while others simply enjoy journalism at a high school level.
