1979 Lincoln Versailles
I saw a vehicle like this in ND, but couldn't catch up to them! I looked for years trying to find one. I did find a couple in various places, but in real poor condition.
I was on my way to work, when I saw this one at a gas station. I stopped right then and talked with the fellow who said it was for sale! I think he was delivering it to a dealership. I called my husband, he went down and had it bought before I was done with my 2 hour job! He paid $2500.00 in the mid 90's.
The Lincoln company used a Ford Granada Chassis and body and upgraded it to a Lincoln! Parts are pretty hard to find as the Versailles was only made for 3 years and of course had to have special door handles, lights, interior, etc. It also has both front and rear disc brakes, which I understand the race car drivers like to use.
