Nicholas Downs of Great Falls Makes ODP

Local 14yr old Nicholas Downs makes the Regional IV Olympic Development Holdover for Montana. Only 3 other players have ever been heldover from Montana. Nicholas Downs recently moved here from San Antonio, Texas, where he was a US Soccer Academy selectee before his fathers transfer to Great Falls last November. Nicholas played for the U-15 Electric city boys this past spring and was the highest goal scorer for the season as well as the state cup. Nicholas spends 6 hours a day training for his Soccer as he strives to become a professional. Nicholas is off to Liverpool England next week where he will attend Everton, last year he went to Liverpool Soccer Academy, in Liverpool England where he was selected to play a friendly game against some elite Japanese players whom also attended the school. Nicholas will attend CMR in the fall where he hopes to play Soccer for the school. Nicholas was held over at ODP for 5 extra days for further evaluation and training at the regional camp in Portland Oregan.
